Questions? Everyone has them.

These are the ones we hear most. Usually followed a week later by "why didn't I start sooner?"

The essentials

Do I need to be able to swim?

No. The bikes stand on the pool floor in chest deep water and your head stays above the surface the whole time. Plenty of our regulars aren't swimmers.

I'm really unfit. Will I keep up?

Yes, because there's nothing to keep up with. You control your own resistance and pace, so you work at your level while the person next to you works at theirs. Nobody can see how fast your legs are going anyway. It's all underwater.

What do I wear and bring?

We want you to feel comfortable, so wear whatever you like: a swimming costume or trunks, a rash vest, a t shirt (not too baggy, as it will get wet) or shorts. You'll also need water shoes for grip on the pedals. We can provide these, or you might prefer to buy your own. Bring a towel and a bottle of water, and we'll sort the rest.

Is it suitable for bad knees, hips or arthritis?

It's one of the best forms of exercise there is for exactly that. The water supports most of your body weight, so your joints are protected while your muscles still work hard. If you're recovering from an injury or an operation, ask us about our Spin Transition & Rehabilitation sessions.

How do I book?

Everything is booked through the timetable on our home page. Tap the class you want, check the details, and pay securely by card. You'll get a confirmation email straight away.

What happens at my first class?

Arrive ten minutes early and we'll set your bike up for your height, show you the basic positions, and get you comfortable before the music starts. Every class has beginners in it, so you won't stand out.

How warm is the water?

We use heated pools, usually around 29 to 31°C. Warm enough to be comfortable the moment you get in, cool enough that you can work hard without overheating.

Can I cancel or move a booking?

Yes. Bookings are managed through Bookwhen, where you'll find the refund and transfer policy for each class. If you get stuck, message us and we'll sort it out.
